Abstract A general purpose, multi-channel digital data acquisition and analysis system (Amlab, Associative Measurements, Sydney) configured to collect and process physiological signals including electroencephalograph and blood pressure is described. Its advantages over analog and single-purpose instrumentation are discussed as is its potential, by the addition of transducers, to replace single-purpose instruments.
