Northern California group of 9 neonatologists, covering a 61 bed Level 4 NICU in downtown Sacramento and a 16 bed community level 3 NICU in Roseville. Our practice has provided neonatal care in the Sacramento region for the past 47 years. We have a vibrant and busy practice with full subspecialty support. We pride ourselves on providing evidenced-based medical care and are able to demonstrate excellent neonatal outcomes with state and national comparative data. We have a strong core group of nurses that have been trained to attend high risk deliveries, intubate, and place umbilical lines. These nurses along with a skilled group of RTs comprise the transport team that pulls from a large geographic area. We provide high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, and whole body cooling on transport. There is potential for bed expansion in both units.
We are currently interviewing for an 10th neonatologist. Our ideal candidate will be energetic and enthusiastic, have solid skills in critical care, and be comfortable supervising nursing staff in their expanded roles. This candidate would have interest in teaching and performing some light administrative duties such as committee attendance, QI projects, an occasional grand rounds, or preparing talks for referring hospitals on an as needed basis. Our practice is best suited for someone that is willing to work hard and to have a flexible schedule, as we value preserving lifestyle in balance with hard work. We are amenable to applicants interested in either a full-time or part-time.
