| Abstract | Although computer programs that perform nutritional calculations for sick neonates have been described, none has been subjected to a controlled evaluation to determine the accuracy of the calculations. We designed a program to provide clinicians with more nutritional calculations than were available with existing techniques and to determine whether the program reduced errors inherent in these extensive calculations. The program was implemented in BASIC on a Tandy PC-2 computer. |
